Time For Change – Christmas Ahead

Do you guys know Christmas is just a week away? Well if you know, then its time for change.

What? You don’t know? Well your competitors do know. And they are changing their old rusty logos to new one.

Aha ! You got it now. That’s good

Many giant companies know how to keep there customers tuned with them. The procedures they utilize are not difficult but are sensible and they rely on some common psychological behaviors of public to keep their customers.

‘Changing with time’ is one of those schemes.

For example, if  you have a company that makes food. Then on events like Halloween, it would be better to change the logo and ‘packing cartons’ or what ever you pack ‘that food’ in, to something of a bit scary that depicts the picture of Halloween in the wrapper as well as the logo. This will induce a feeling in the public that you are also celebrating with them!

Some will say that this strategy has no effect on over all sales. But yes it does, i will show how. Your packet and logo will be seen by the kids, as its a food item (and normally kids do wander kitchens a lot, an irony they don’t want to eat the good stuff). Then they will persuade there mom to buy them another of your food items.

Got it? This is a simple way of keeping your customers with you.

Graphic designing is a very challenging job which demands creativity and innovation. Graphic designers always strive to find out sources of inspiration around them in order to come up with unique designs. If you are also a graphic designer, then here you will find some ideas to get many sources of inspiration available around you.

Always keep your camera with you



Get a digital camera of good quality with you and photograph the objects, textures and colors which look interesting to you. You may find such kind of objects both indoor and outdoor. Get inspiration from such objects and textures and make creative designs to develop your portfolio.

Visit a library



Spend one or two hours in a library and look at the outer covers of books, you can get a lot of inspiring ideas also from the images or pictures used in inner pages of books especially from books related to science and history.

Notice different signs and signals on road



You can observe many of the signs and signals on different roads and streets of your city which you can use to create new designs with little modifications. The idea to get inspiration on the way is best when you are travelling through a bus but don’t apply it when you are driving as it may cause and accident.

There is a wide variety of objects available in charity stores which you can use as a source of inspiration for your next graphic design. Spend some time in a charity store and buy one or more things which you think are visually appealing. It could be an antique, a toy, a pattern on some fabric, a painting or a record whatever looks interesting to you.

Get inspiration from architecture



Wander through some old buildings to get inspiration from the architecture used in ancient times. You can also search on internet to get ideas from different types of architectures which belong to different civilizations and regions around the world.

Attend exhibitions



Exhibitions which are arranged to display hand crafted objects, paintings and other fine art works are a great source of inspiration. You can have numerous things with different textures, colors and thoughts at a single point to get inspiration.

Get inspiration from packaging of food stuff



Every day we consume many things including packed food stuff. We use the thing and throw away the wrappers. If you start noticing the designs, Logo Design and colors used on those wrappers and boxes then you can get a lot of inspiration especially from those with foreign packaging.
